Doha Municipality’s General Control Department has conducted an inspection campaign in the Najma and Mansoura areas of Doha, targeting abandoned vehicles, encroachments on public roads and violations of advertisement and public hygiene regulations.
The initiative resulted in the detection a number of violations and removal of various encroachments in accordance with the relevant municipal laws and regulations, the Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME) said in a statement.
The campaign was carried out in co-operation the General Cleanliness Department and Rescue Police (Al Fazaa) patrols.
Meanwhile, the statement said Al Rayyan Municipality’s Al Gharafa office carried out 85 inspection tours, where new buildings were inspected and 29 site cleanliness certificates were issued accordingly. 
In addition, the office issued 15 violations reports with seven of them resolved through reconciliation on payment of the stipulated fines. The other eight were referred to the security departments concerned. 
Also, the State Property Unit at the MME conducted five regular inspection campaigns, with three violations being issued and resolved through reconciliation.

Vehicles, heavy equipment removed in Al Shamal Municipality

Al Shamal Municipality’s General Control Section, in co-operation with the security department concerned, carried out an inspection campaign over two days to spot and remove abandoned vehicles and equipment.
The campaign resulted in the removal of five abandoned vehicles and heavy equipment.
In addition, the owners of abandoned vehicles who were notified through stickers, removed 25 such vehicles, the Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME) said in a statement.
Al Rayyan Municipality’s Al Gharafa office conducted 105 regular inspection campaigns, with 53 warning stickers being pasted on abandoned vehicles there.
Besides, 40 violation reports were issued with 34 of these settled through reconciliation after paying the stipulated fines, while six other violations were referred to the relevant security entities for necessary legal action against the offenders. Fines collected for the period amounted to QR60,900.
