The Indian embassy has issued an advisory on fake websites claiming to offer Indian e-visa to foreign nationals.
In a post on its Twitter page on Wednesday, the embassy said it has come to its notice that some third-party websites are offering Indian e-visa to foreign nationals.
The websites are as follows: https://www.evisatoindia.org.in, https://www.evisaindia.com, https://www.indianvisaservice.org, https://www.indiaimmigration.org, https://www.evisaindia.org.in, https://www.indiaonlineevisas.org.in and https://www.indiaevisa.org
"It is hereby notified that the above websites are 'FAKE' and have been found to be misguiding foreign nationals and duping them of their money in some cases," the advisory said.
The correct website for applying e-visa for India by foreign nationals is www.indianvisaonline.gov.in
