Katara – the Cultural Village has announced that it will host a number of Cyprus cultural and artistic events in September.
This came during the meeting between Karata general manager Dr Khalid bin Ibrahim al-Sulaiti and ambassador of Cyprus to Qatar Michalis A Zacharioglu at the Cultural Village Foundation, where they discussed enhancing co-operation in the field of culture.
This co-operation will begin with the opening of an exhibition of works by the ambassador, who himself is an artist.
Al-Sulaiti said that the organisation of Cyprus events in Katara will enhance cultural and artistic co-operation between the two sides.
For his part, Zacharioglu praised the Katara’s role in the promotion of cultural work, and expressed admiration for its activities, events and festivals at the local and international levels.
