The Nato Standard Operating Procedures agreement between the Qatar Armed Forces (QAF) and Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar has been signed at the Combined Air Operations Center, the Ministry of Defence announced yesterday.
QAF deputy chief of staff for administration and supply affairs Major Gen (Pilot) Mubarak bin Mohamed Alkamit al-Khayarin and US Air Forces Central Command, Southwest Asia Commander Lt Gen (Pilot) Joseph T Guastella attended the ceremony.
On behalf of Qatar, International Military Co-operation Authority head Staff Brig Abdulaziz Saleh al-Sulaiti signed the agreement. The signatory from the US side was Brig Gen Jason R Armagost, Commander, 379th Air Expeditionary Wing, Al Udeid Air Base.
