GAC Motor, exclusively distributed in Qatar by Doha Marketing Services Company (Domasco), launched three of its flagship models – the GS3, GS7 and GA4 – during a ceremony at Doha Festival City recently.
The event was attended by esteemed guests, including Li Chen, Chinese ambassador to Qatar; Yang Song, head of the Economic and Commercial counsellor’s office at the Chinese embassy; Wu Shutian, deputy marketing director, GAC Motor; Katoon Su, marketing manager, GAC Motor; Faisal Sharif, managing director, Domasco, and members of the media. “The GS3 and GS7 are two unique SUVs that combine trendy and sporty designs with excellent performance and smart technologies,” Sharif said during the press and VIP conference held at VOX Cinemas ahead of the main launch ceremony.
He added, “Together with the GA4, GAC Motor’s all-new signature sedan, we are sure to satisfy the different needs of consumers with these quality vehicles.”
Sharif also explained that Domasco’s lasting partnership with GAC Motor “stems from our commitment to provide our clients in Qatar with quality cars that constantly meet their expectations.”
Engineered as more of a sports car than an SUV, the GS3 is built on a trendy design. “It is ideal for young families who are looking for a sporty yet comfortable SUV, equipped with the latest technologies to provide an engaging driving experience,” Domasco said in a statement.  The “sleek, ultra-safe” GS3 comes in two engine specs of 1.5L and 1.3T (Turbo) with 112hp and 135hp, respectively, which has a peak torque of 202Nm at 1,500rpm. The SUV also features a 3D voice navigation system, human-auto interaction and the car-life smartphone intelligent interconnection.
The award-winning GS7 is a mid-sized SUV designed for consumers who love fashionable cars and are looking for a carefree driving experience. The car is powered by 2.0T engine which has a power of 199hp at 1,750rpm and can accelerate from zero to 100km in 9.5 seconds. The GS7 also features a 6AT gearbox and multi-link suspension to make sure the vehicle performs well even in the most difficult terrain. The GS7’s design is based on GAC Motor’s Cross-Platform Modular Architecture, which offers a robust power control, comfortable interior space and smart entertainment system.
The GA4 is the all-new signature sedan, built on GAC Motor’s own A-Class sedan platform. The latter was designed and positioned as a family sedan of quality and charm. Depending on the model chosen, the GA4 can come with either a naturally-aspirated 1.5L engine with 114hp and 4-speed automatic transmission while 1.3-litre turbo engine generating 137hp, 202Nm of torque and 6-speed automatic transmission. High-end models can come with adjustable halogen headlights, touchscreen infotainment, automatic climate control, cruise control and even an around-view monitoring system.
