Marriott International yesterday announced the opening of JW Marriott Marquis City Center Doha.
Owned by Al Rayyan Tourism Investment Company (ARTIC), the hotel will cater to sophisticated, self-assured travellers in the heart of Doha’s commercial district, according to a statement.
The opening follows the recent announcement by ARTIC to rebrand its City Center Hotel to JW Marriott Marquis City Center Doha, under the management of Marriott International.
Through a phased approach, areas throughout will soon undergo renovations to deliver an on-brand experience in Doha’s commercial centre, whilst remaining open to guests.
Commenting on the opening, Safak Guvenc, area vice president – Gulf, Levant and Pakistan, Marriott International said, “JW Marriott Marquis City Center Doha is a great addition to our diverse portfolio in Doha. Our teams will be working hard to undergo changes and refresh spaces across the hotel to deliver the iconic JW experience to the vibrant city of Doha.”

JW Marriott Marquis City Center Doha is directly connected to the City Center Mall, offering a host of shopping and entertainment options.
It comprises 272 contemporary guestrooms including 38 suites, 60 club rooms and 42 serviced apartments as well as a Spa, Health Club and a 2,000sqm pool deck.
Meeting planners will also find ample options for meetings and events with a Grand Ballroom and eight meeting rooms.
The hotel also features seven distinct culinary experiences from a range of international cuisines including, a Greek restaurant, an Argentine grill, a Chinese restaurant with a club lounge, live seafood and teppanyaki and a Middle Eastern outlet.
