The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has completed more than 90% of the road network connecting 2022 World Cup facilities, a senior official announced.
While attending the Project Qatar 2019, Ashghal's project affairs director Yousef Abdulrahman al-Emadi said this was a major achievement.
Al-Emadi stated Ashghal has overcome the blockade and it continues to implement proposed projects as per the schedule. He added that some of the projects were completed before deadlines, citing example of Al Khor Road that was delivered one year ahead.

Ashghal took part for the first time as a strategic partner of Project Qatar 2019 exhibition that came to an end Wednesday at Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre.
At the exhibition, Ashghal highlighted its contributions to the infrastructure development of Qatar. Showcased were some vital projects including models of Sabah Al Ahmad Corridor, 5/6 Interchange and Al Khor Road within the highway projects, in addition to models of Al Sadd Health Center and Mesaimeer Tunnel for surface water and groundwater.
Ahmed al-Ansari, technical office manager at Ashghal, presented a working paper on the first day of the conference on ways to improve the quality, performance of work and timely completion of construction projects through change and intervention.
