Leading power tools manufacturer Hikoki’s products are on display at Project Qatar, taking place at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre until today.
In Qatar, the company has partnered with Jumbo Electromech, a ‘total solutions provider’ and the authorised distributors for Hikoki power tools in the country, to provide sales and after-sales services to customers.
Hikoki Power Tools are on display in Hall 1, stall No D23 at Project Qatar.
Innovative battery pack technology from the Japanese power tools manufacturer makes it possible to use 36-volt battery packs in 18-volt devices, Jumbo Electromech has said in a press statement.
“One battery pack, two volt classes — no problem with the new and innovative multi-volt battery packs from Hikoki. The 36-volt lithium-ion battery packs are compatible with 18-volt class cordless tools. Intelligent connecting technology makes it possible: the battery pack is able to detect whether it is being used in an 18-volt or a 36-volt device, and automatically adjusts the voltage,” the statement explained.
The 36-volt battery packs have an output power of 1,080 watts, and comes in a size similar to a conventional 18-volt battery. Dimensions and weight remain almost the same.
As a result, the multi-volt battery packs can be used with a wide range of 18-volt class devices. This flexibility is particularly beneficial at high-power levels, for example the new C3606DA cordless circular saw. The 36-volt tools require half the amperage of 18-volt tools to achieve the same power.
Due to the lower amperage and an integrated cooling system, the battery pack heats up much more slowly. This, in turn, has a positive effect on the battery’s capacity and working life: the battery pack can deliver its full power over a longer period of time.
Professionals can work even on the hardest materials when using the C3606DA cordless circular caw combined with the new multi-volt battery packs.
“With the new multi-volt battery pack generation, Hikoki is breaking through the barriers that the volt classes have imposed up to now,” said Komagata, general manager, Hikoki Gulf branch.
Hikoki relies on brushless motors for corded power tools, for stable power availability in the event of voltage drops when the device is connected to cable drums or generators.
With its brushless motors, Hikoki is “already setting standards worldwide today”. The new motor technology is used in rotary and demolition hammers, grinders, circular saw and impact wrench.
The brushless AC high-efficiency motors are largely maintenance-free and have a high life expectancy. Also, no carbon brushes mean less resistance – this increases the efficiency of the motor.
