The Aspiration Achievement 2030 campaign by Social Development Centre (Nama), during its second edition, has helped around 1,000 young men and women to take benefit from training and awareness programmes.
Speaking to Gulf Times on the sidelines of the valediction ceremony of the campaign on Tuesday, Mohamed Abdul al-Ghani, head of production department, awareness administration, Nama, said the campaign was a huge success in terms of raising awareness about the achievement and objectives of Qatar National Vision 2030. 
“The campaign mainly concentrated on social, economic, human and environmental developments," he said.
The valedictory ceremony was attended by Nama representatives and other stakeholders. The month-long campaign launched on April 1, educated young people on the importance of their role in contributing to the achievement of Qatar National Vision 2030. 
“We increased the level of awareness by making use of the potential of social media. In addition to the use of various means of communication, videos and publications were published through social media,” al-Ghani said. 
Workshops and practical, motivational activities, interactive workshops in governmental and private bodies were organised by joining hands with institutions including the Academic Bridge Programme, National Service Academy, Qatar University, Community College Of Qatar, Police College, General Tax Authority, Qatar National Library and Qatar Foundation. 
In the school competition, the kindergarten of Rawdha Bint Jassim Secondary School for Girls won the first place, Al-Karaana Boys School second and Mesaieed Boys School third. The second competition was in the general category in video making. Ali Khalid al-Sulaiti, Nasser Mubarak al-Hajri and Saeed Hamad al-Aswad al-Marri won first, second and third places, respectively.
Al-Ghani added that Nama has plans to launch the same campaign in coming years too in a bid to help achieve Qatar National Vision 2030. 
While addressing the valedictory session, Hamad al-Marri, community awareness manager, Nama, said the campaign was an important step in empowering the young community and helping them serve the society and the country.
