As part of its corporate social responsibility, Mowasalat (Karwa) participated in the activities conducted in connection with the World Day for Safety and Health at Work observance.
The activities were organised by Qatar North Oil and Dolphin Energy on April 25 and 28, respectively.
They were aimed at encouraging safety in workplace and promote a safe driving culture to eliminate road accidents and save lives.
The training programmes as part of the observance provided the employees and drivers with theoretical and practical presentations.
Mowasalat provided practical experiences to the attendees by using its advanced driving simulators, seat belt convincer, fatal vision goggles and other devices related to safe driving.
During the programmes, Mowasalat elaborated easy ways for checking tyre pressure and distributed flyers with important safety tips.
The presentations were made by a team of qualified trainers from the internationally-accredited Karwa Driving School.
Mowasalat had also participated in the third edition of Conference and Exhibition of Occupational Health & Safety as a golden sponsor.
The company showcased the latest security and safety technologies and standards in its public and school transport bus and other types of buses.
In addition, Mowasalat had participated in a panel discussion where it highlighted security and safety procedures within the company’s facilities in providing adequate housing for its drivers and support staff in Karwa City.
At Karwa City, all services are available for staff. These include sport facilities and adequate medical care through its integrated medical centre and accredited medical commission and other main requirements that ensure the application of the highest safety standards.
