The Qatar Met department has said the country is witnessing a gradual rise in temperature, which is reaching the normal levels for this time of the year, until the end of this week.
The maximum temperature is expected to range from 34-39C in most areas and go beyond that in the central and southwestern parts of the country, according to a report issued by the weather office yesterday.
The winds will be mostly northeasterly to southeasterly, light to moderate in speed, the forecast adds.
The average maximum temperature for April is 35.1C and the minimum 23.5C.
The rise in temperature follows a spell in which strong northwesterly winds brought down the mercury level considerably in places around the country, including Doha.
Meanwhile, today’s forecast says it will be relatively hot during the day and some clouds are also expected. Fine conditions are likely to prevail offshore.
The maximum temperature today will be 36C in Abu Samra, followed by 34C in Doha, Wakrah, Mesaieed and Al Khor, while the minimum will be 21C in Wakrah, Abu Samra and Mesaieed, 22C in Al Khor and Dukhan, 23C in Ruwais and 24C in Doha.
Yesterday, the maximum was 35C in Abu Samra, Batna and Karana, 34C in Sheehaniya, Abu Hamour and Turayna, and 32C in Doha, Al Khor and other places.
