Allevia Medical Center’s second healthcare facility in Qatar, located inside Ezdan Mall, Al Wukair, will be inaugurated at 6.30pm tomorrow.
A press conference was held yesterday by senior officials from Allevia Medical Center and Ezdan Holding to announce their association and the new facility’s opening date. Allevia Medical Center officials said the new healthcare facility at Ezdan Mall focuses on the tagline ‘Wellness in Reach’, aimed at “providing compassionate, accessible, high-quality, cost-effective healthcare to the community with healthcare professionals”.
The facility is spread over an area of 35,000sq ft and comes with ample parking space for 150 cars, with the aim of becoming one of the biggest private medical centres in Qatar, a press statement notes. The medical centre has been designed to provide 40 outpatient departments, providing a ‘state-of-the-art’ healthcare delivery system in Qatar. The opening of Allevia Medical Center “is the result of several years of caring and innovation” by RAF Health UK. The medical centre at Ezdan Mall will be inaugurated by Yousif Rashid al-Khater, member of the Advisory Council.
 Ashraf K P, RAF Health chairman, has also invited all citizens and residents of Qatar to the inaugural function. Besides, the grand inauguration is expected to be attended by top businessmen from various conglomerates in Qatar. Ashraf assured the highest levels of ethical and quality healthcare services would be delivered to the community at all their medical centres. Addressing the press conference, Sheikh Ali Abdulla Ahmad Ali al-Thani noted that all possible avenues of upgrade are being explored to meet the world-class standards set by the Ministry of Public Health.
Dr Noufal Rizwan, medical director, stressed their endeavour “to provide clinical excellence supported by a dedicated and professional team and with world-class therapeutic equipment harnessing cutting-edge technology”. Udhaya Kumar, COO of Allevia Medical Center, said Allevia would seek to organise free medical camps by partnering with various non-profit organisations supporting the efforts to reach low-income residents in Qatar. Ashraf said Allevia will also have international partnerships and clinical collaborations and has already reached a clinical association with the Apollo Hospitals Group, India.
