The Advisory Council held its regular weekly meeting yesterday under the chairmanship of HE the Deputy Speaker Mohamed bin Abdullah al-Sulaiti.
The Council discussed a draft law amending some provisions of Decree Law No 14 of 1993 concerning passports.
The Council also decided to refer the aforementioned draft law to the Internal and External Affairs Committee for further study and a report.
The Council was briefed on a report on its delegation’s participation in the 8th Session of the World e-Parliament Conference 2018, held recently in Geneva.
The Financial and Economic Affairs Committee of the Advisory Council held a meeting yesterday chaired by its Rapporteur Ali bin Abdullatif al-Misnad al-Muhanadi.
During the meeting, the committee examined a draft law on the organisation of the auditing profession, and decided to complete its study at its next meeting.
Meanwhile, the Cultural Affairs and Information Committee of the Advisory Council held a meeting yesterday chaired by its Rapporteur Mohamed bin Ali bin Sultan al-Maadid.
During the meeting, the committee studied recommendations of request for the general debate on education.
The committee decided to complete its study thereon at its next meeting.
