The third edition of EdEx Qatar 2019, organised by Informa Tharawat, was launched on Tuesday under the patronage of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education and Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry, with the participation of 30 companies offering the latest international technologies that can positively influence the quality of education in Qatar.

EdEx Qatar aims at presenting the latest developments and changes in the world of education, providing a platform for exchanging ideas on improving the quality of education, and discussing issues related to investment in education by the private sector and opportunities, and interest in entrepreneurship, digital skills, and other issues that support the state's direction towards a knowledge economy.

The First Vice-Chairman of the Qatar Chamber and Chairman of the Chamber's Education Committee Mohamed bin Ahmed bin Towar al-Kuwari said that the conference and exhibition of educational exchange for the third year in a row reflects the continued attractiveness of the Qatari educational sector for investors, as the exhibition was attended by major companies specialised in investing in the education sector from all over the world.

This enables Qatari companies and businessmen in the private sector to learn about the latest technologies and ideas in the development of this vital sector, praising Qatar's keenness and efforts to develop the education sector.

Al-Kuwari stressed the importance of the contribution of the private sector to education through its large investments in the field of education, which supports the country's direction towards the knowledge economy, supports national plans for economic diversification and emphasises the partnership between the public and private sectors.

Al-Kuwari pointed out that EdEx Qatar 2019 has provided visitors with a wide range of products and services related to improving educational outcomes in Qatar as exhibitors are offering the latest innovations in the fields of tablets, monitors, 3D printers, virtual reality services, artificial intelligence, and educational products and services.

During the first day of the exhibition, seminars and presentations were held on the development of Arabic language learning using digital platforms, as well as Microsoft presentations, classroom technology, parent-school collaboration to develop language skills for children, behavioral analysis of children with disabilities, and building creativity.

It is expected that the second day will witness a number of topics related to the field of education, including dealing with social behaviors in the early stages, and the training programme to increase creativity of students, multi-tasking robots, and the preparation of classes to receive students.

The last edition of EdEx Qatar attracted more than 50 companies with more than 1,200 visitors.

During the exhibition 30 seminars and a meeting with 30 speakers from all over the world from the major companies in the development of education, technology, academies and scientific institutes were also held.
