Al Sailiya hammered Al Kharaitiyat 5-2 to seal third place on the final day of the QNB Stars League yesterday.
Mohamed Mudather scored twice, while Mauricio Ramos, Nader Behhadj and Abdelqader Ilyas also registered on the score sheet for Al Sailiya. For Al Kharaitiyat, Abdelhadi Ameen and Valentin Lazar were on target.
Al Sailya finished with 38 points from 22 matches, ahead of fourth placed Al Rayyan who finished with with 37.
For Al Rayyan, Sebastian Soria and Lucca scored a brace each as they Qatar Sports Club 4-3. Champions Al Sadd and second-placed Al Duhail had already sealed the top two places with plenty to spare.
Al Rayyan were under pressure from Al Sailiya and Al Ahli as the third and fourth place were up for grabs before yesterday’s action.
But Al Ahli could only manage to finish fifth after they drew 1-1 with Al Khor.
