Officials incharge of scouts and guides associations from Qatar, Oman and Turkey discussed a number of issues of common interest at a meeting in Doha.

They reviewed the means of enhancing co-operation in scouting, especially conducting various guiding programmes and activities, and highlighted the importance of setting the general framework for co-operation in the education sector and volunteering, along with the exchange of experiences among scout leaders.

They also discussed ways to strengthen the bonds of friendship with the scouts in various fields in order to contribute to capacity-building of young men and women and encourage communication between the scout leaders, and organise scout camps and activities.

The meeting was attended by Jassim Mohamed al-Hardan, General Commissioner of the Scout and Guide Association of Qatar, Dr Yaqub bin Khalfan bin Abdullah al-Nadabi, Director General of the General Directorate of Scouts and Guides in Oman and Hasan Subasi, President of the Scouting and Guiding Federation of Turkey.

In a speech on the occasion, al-Hardan explained that the meeting reflects the interest of all parties.

Meanwhile, HE Dr Ibrahim bin Saleh al-Nuaimi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, and President of the Scout and Guide Association of Qatar, discussed with the Omani Scout delegation aspects of co-operation.
