Under the patronage of HE the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defence Affairs Dr Khalid bin Mohammed al-Attiyah and in the presence of Chief of Staff of the Qatar Armed Forces HE Lt-General (Pilot) Ghanem bin Shaheen al-Ghanem, the Amiri Land Forces concluded the Al Adeid 2019 exercise in Al Galayel.
The conclusion of the exercise was participated by all commands and branches of the Amiri Land Forces, other units of the armed forces and forces from other countries.
Major General Jassim bin Attiyah carried out the second phase of the exercise in Kuwait, with the participation of Kuwait 35th Shahid (Martyr) Armored Brigade and US mechanised infantry brigade. The final phase was joined by Turkish mechanised infantry company, joint infantry company between the Qatar Armed Forces and the Mongolian Armed Forces.
Head of the exercise Colonel Ali Haseen al-Khayarin said Al Adeid 2019 exercise is comprised of seven phases and aims to train commanders on planning, blocking intrusion and preventing infiltrations.
It aims to provide training on assessing the situation in different units, preparing reports and plans, providing briefing, managing meetings and training on leadership, communications and intelligence, mobility and logistics operations. It also trained on preventing infiltrations, organising and circulating operational, intelligence and administrative reports and coordinating different leaderships. (QNA)
