His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani honoured the winners of the final of the annual purebred Arabian Camel Festival the sword of His Highness the Amir for the 2018-2019 season which took place at Al Shahaniya racetrack.
His Highness the Amir awarded the winners of the four main events for camels older than seven years for camels owned by Their Excellencies the Sheikhs. Al Shahaniya camels won all races receiving the golden sword, golden shalfa and two golden daggers.
His Highness the Amir also awarded the winners of four main events for camels older than seven years for camels owned by tribe members. Nasser Abdulla al-Misned was awarded the golden sword, Jarallah Mohammed Taleb bin Oqail was awarded the silver shalfa and the silver daggers were awarded to Abdulla Saeed al-Aida.
His Highness the Amir also honoured the companies sponsoring the festival. The races were attended by Their Excellencies the Sheikhs, senior officials from Arab counties, tribe members and fans of the sport. -QNA
