Qatar expressed its strong condemnation and denunciation of the armed attack and clashes in the town of Arbinda in northern Burkina Faso near the Mali border which left dozens of people dead. In a statement issued yesterday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated Qatar’s firm stance on rejecting violence and terrorism, regardless of their motives and reasons. The statement expressed Qatar’s condolences to the families.

EU-Qatar friendship group head meets Hungarian envoy
The Head of EU-Qatar Parliamentary Friendship Group Yousif bin Rashid al-Khater yesterday met the ambassador of Hungary to Qatar Barnabas Fodor. During the meeting, they discussed Qatar-Hungary relations and means to promote them, especially in the parliamentary field. The meeting was attended by EU-Qatar Parliamentary Friendship Group member Abdulaziz bin Mohamed al-Attiyah and a number of Advisory Council officials.

Qatar attends Arab water ministers’ meeting in Cairo
The first joint ministerial meeting of Arab water and agriculture ministers kicked off at the Arab League headquarters in Cairo yesterday. Deputy Permanent Representative of Qatar to the Arab League ambassador Hassan bin Ahmed al-Mutawa represented Qatar at the meeting. The meeting discusses the challenges facing the Arab region in the fields of food security and water security.

Qatar-Bangladesh ties reviewed
Bangladesh Foreign Minister Dr Abulkalam Abdul Momen has met Qatar’s ambassador  Ahmed bin Mohamed al-Dehaimi. During the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations and ways of developing them, in addition to issues of common concern.
