United Development Company (UDC), one of Qatar’s leading public shareholding companies and the master developer of The Pearl-Qatar and Gewan Islands, participated in the fourth edition of the Government Procurement and Contracting Conference and Exhibition ‘Moushtarayat 2019’.
Moushtarayat, which kicked off on March 31 at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre, provided a key platform for networking among big buyers and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
UDC hosted a booth that brought together members of its Procurement Department to brief visitors on the company’s programmes and familiarise SMEs and entrepreneurs with its procurement practices.
UDC’s participation in the event alongside other leading buyers is part of the company’s aim to support local SMEs and contribute to localisation efforts in line with the Qatar National Vision 2030.
The conference featured bilateral meetings with SME owners and entrepreneurs to assess co-operation prospects, and to advise local businesses on the procedures relating to existing public tenders extended by larger private sector companies, semi-governmental, and governmental bodies.
