The chief executive of the Qatar Financial Centre (QFC), one of the world’s leading and fastest growing onshore business and financial centres, was recently selected as one of the winners of the 'CEO Today Middle East Awards 2019'.
The awards recognise the most accomplished companies and their C-level executives who have demonstrated significant regional influence, as well as leadership on a global stage.
Winners are selected through a lengthy and rigorous process which involves careful evaluation of nominations, validation of nominees’ background and achievements, and of the organisations they lead.
"This award is a reflection of the QFC’s achievements in driving foreign investments into the Qatari market and in meeting the evolving needs of its clients to grow and expand in Qatar and beyond,” said QFC CEO Yousuf Mohamed al-Jaida.
The success of the clients has been a significant contributor to diversifying Qatar’s economy, and consequently, in contributing to the region’s economic growth, he added.
