His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani attended, along with the leaders of Arab countries, the opening session of the 30th Summit of the Council of the Arab League, which was held in Tunis Sunday morning.
The session was attended by members of the official delegation accompanying the Amir, and heads of delegations participating in the summit.
A number of leaders from regional and international organisations also attended the session.

The Amir and the accompanying delegation were seen off upon departure at Tunis-Carthage International Airport by Habib Essid, adviser to Tunisia president.
His Highness the Amir sent a cable to Tunisia President Beji Caid Essebsi, expressing deep thanks and appreciation for the hospitality and honour accorded to him and the accompanying delegation during the visit to Tunisia to attend the summit.
The Amir hoped that the summit's results would contribute to supporting and promoting joint Arab action for the benefit of the Arab people.

Earlier upon his arrival at Carthage International Airport , the Amir and the accompanying delegation were welcomed by Prime Minister of Tunisia Youssef Chahed, Adviser to the President of the Republic of Tunisia Habib Essid, Tunisian Defence Minister Abdelkareem Zubaidi, Qatar's ambassador to Tunisia Nasser bin Saad al-Humaidi, Tunisian ambassador to Qatar Salah al-Salhi, and members of the Qatari embassy.
