The market was launched on December 31, for the third year in a row in co-operation with the Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME) to promote and support the local agriculture production.
The market operated during weekends at the southern area of Katara providing a wide range of fresh vegetables, fruits and dairies for the public with the participation of 22 local Qatari farms, seven nurseries and six other national food manufacturing companies.

He highlighted that Katara had sought through this project to sustain local production and contribute in the national vision of fulfilling self-sufficiency of foods and dairy products.
