The organising committee of the ongoing Aspire Wonderland Festival has decided to extend the festival until Monday, April 1, while the dancing fountain shows will conclude on Saturday.

The decision on extending the festival was taken in view of an "audience request and the tremendous turnout of visitors", Aspire Zone Foundation said in a statement on Thursday, noting that the festival has drawn 15,000 visitors to Aspire Park since its official launch.

On reaching the venue, visitors "enter an imaginary gateway to the world of fantasy and folk tales", and the highlights also include a spectacular dancing water fountain (pictured) at the Aspire lake that moves to the "sounds of majestic melodies", the statement notes.

Visitors will have the opportunity to enjoy the dancing fountain shows again on Friday at 5pm, 6.40pm, 7.40pm, 8.10pm, 8.40pm, 9.10pm, 9.40pm, 10.10pm, 10.40pm, 11pm and 11.40pm. The festival is sponsored by Vodafone Qatar and Katara - the Cultural Village Foundation and is open to the public daily from 5pm to 10pm.
