The Local Organising Committee of the Total CAF Super Cup 2019 final, which will be held for the first time outside the African continent tomorrow, has completed preparations to receive the African champions, Esperance Sportive du Tunis, and Raja Casablanca.
The details of the event were given out during a press conference, which was attended by Marketing Director Khalid al-Kuwari, Event Services Director Abdullah al-Hammadi, Head of Venue Operation Jassim al-Jassim, and Ministry of Interior Captain Fahad Bu Hindi.
During the media conference, all questions regarding the readiness of the stadium were answered and all the security aspects, arrangements for the events accompanying the fans and many other illustrative matters were discussed.
The LOC urged the ticket holders to arrive early at Thani bin Jassim Stadium to avoid congestion near the entry gates.
It was announced that the gates will be opened at 3:30pm tomorrow whereas family activities will commence two hours prior.
Tunisian artist Ahmed Sharif and Moroccan artist Hatem Amro will also perform for spectators attending the match.
Jassim al-Jassim said preparations have been completed for the training sessions of the two teams at Thani bin Jassim Stadium.
He said that it is necessary to have everyone present in the stadium early in order to avoid overcrowding. More than 20,000 spectators heading at the same time could make flow of crowds difficult for the organisers, he said.
Khalid al-Kuwari said all promotional activities of the event were announced soon after it was decided to host the Total CAF Super Cup 2019 in Qatar. He said the ticket holders have been given all details and information related to the match.
He said a certain number of tickets have been allocated for the fans of two clubs flying into Doha, the sponsors and the corporate VIP box purchasers.
Captain Fahad Bu Hindi said during the conference that the MoI had completed its preparations ahead of the match to ensure the hugely popular event goes through without any incident.
He said the MoI patrols will secure all routes to assist the fans with easy entry and exit at Thani bin Jassim Stadium.
Abdullah al-Hammadi, Event Services Director, said a series of fan services will be available to the fans attending the match in Doha. He said every effort is being done to ensure a memorable experience to everyone attending the match.
