Afghan President Mohamed Ashraf Ghani met Dr Mutlaq bin Majid al-Qahtani, the Special Envoy of the Minister of Foreign Affairs for Combating Terrorism and Mediation in Dispute Resolution, who is visiting Afghanistan.
During the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations between Qatar and Afghanistan, means of supporting and developing them, efforts to achieve peace in Afghanistan, and the good offices made by Qatar for the intra-Afghan dialogue conference to be held in Doha next month.
The Afghan president praised Qatar's efforts in mediating between the Afghan parties, and stressed his support for the Qatari endeavours to achieve peace and stability in Afghanistan.
