The International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) Qatar is organising its fourth banking workshop titled ‘Trade Finance Training 209’ slated on March 27 at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Doha.

The one-day workshop, which will run from 8.30am to 5pm, will be led by Kim Sindberg, in collaboration with The London Institute of Banking and Finance.

The workshop will benefit professionals working in trade finance departments with various products and instruments, such as best practices in letters of credit, letters of guarantees, highlights from Incoterms 2020, and status on the demand guarantee standard banking practices. The training will also be beneficial to business executives active in trade finance, and will enable attendees to obtain 6.5 PDUs.

Sindberg, technical advisor to the Banking Commission of the ICC and founder of Sindberg Consult , is also a member of several national and international trade finance forums and has served in several ICC working and drafting groups.

Held under the patronage of Qatar Chamber and ICC Qatar chairman Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim al-Thani, the banking workshop is sponsored by QNB and supported by Qatar Chamber.

In a press statement, ICC Qatar stressed its keenness in organising the workshop for a fourth year in a row, which is beneficial to the attendees within the banking industry. ICC Qatar added that it would continue to host the workshop on various topics in the future.
