HE the Minister of Municipality and Environment Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Turki al-Subaie honoured 23 owners of farms, natives and fishermen as well as 15 official sponsors of the exhibition. Ahmed Mohammed al-Sada, Deputy Undersecretary for Environment Affairs at the ministry, said that the organisation of the first Qatar International Environmental Exhibition is in line with the march of the State of Qatar under the leadership of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, in adopting sustainable development as one of the four pillars of the Qatar National Vision 2030.

He stressed that the Ministry of Municipality and Environment is keen to make the environmental exhibition a platform to showcase relevant initiatives in Qatar, and friendly countries and international and local specialised companies to showcase the latest technologies and solutions that serve environmental sustainability in the fields of alternative energy, energy conservation in construction, industrial technologies that promote cleaner production, reducing raw materials, as well as recycling and other technologies in this field.
