There are 94 candidates, including five women, in the final list of aspirants for the elections of the sixth Central Municipal Council (CMC), it was announced Wednesday.
The names of the candidates are scheduled to be announced Thursday at all electoral district headquarters. The Assistant Director General of Information Systems at the Ministry of Interior, Chairman of the Technical Committee for CMC Elections Brigadier Abdulrahman Ali al-Farahid al-Malki, said the campaign phase will begin according to the timetable of the electoral process, stressing that each candidate must campaign in accordance with the regulations set by the Ministry of Interior.
