HE the Minister of Culture and Sports Salah bin Ghanem bin Nasser al-Ali on Monday honoured the winners of the Appreciative and Incentive State Awards in the fields of sciences, arts and literature.
In a speech on the occasion, the minister reiterated the leadership's keenness to appreciate scientists and to promote the status of researchers and innovators in the society in various fields.
He said that the two awards are among the most important ones, adding that the country supports scientists and researchers.
For their part, the winners of this year's awards hailed the wise leadership's appreciation of scientists and researchers, pledging to do more to serve and promote society at all levels to achieve Qatar's National Vision 2030.
The winners of this year's awards are: Dr Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Turki al-Subaei - Education; Mohamed Jassim al-Khulaifi - Museums and Archeology; Professor Saif Saeed Saif al-Suwaidi - Economics; Professor Youssef Mohamed Youssef al-Obaidan - Politics; Dr Hamad Abdulrahman al-Saad al-Kuwari - Earth and Environmental Sciences; Mehanna Rashid al-Aseeri al-Maadheed - Earth and Environmental Sciences; Dr Huda Mohamed Abdullatif al-Nuaimi - Medical Assisting and Nursing; Dr Asmaa Ali Jassim al-Thani - Medical Assisting and Nursing; Salman Ibrahim Suleiman al-Malik - Caricature Art; Abdulaziz Ibrahim al-Mahmoud - Novel.
