QNB Group recently won the “Best Mobile Banking Application” and “Best Digital Bank in the Arab Gulf Region” during the gala held recently in Tunisia to crown the winners of the “Arab Banks Digital Excellence 2018” awards.
The event was organised by the Union of Arab Banks (UAB) and the Arab Information and Communication Technologies Organisation (AICTO), and attended by diplomats and other dignitaries.
The launch of the important annual award is aimed at highlighting and appreciating the efforts of the Arab banking and financial sector in the presentation and development of digital services, through the engagement of the latest communications and information technologies to develop this vital field.
QNB’s winning the two awards “serves as a powerful testament to the quality of its digital banking services” offered through its electronic channels. The bank “is always keen on developing the quality of these services and offering its customers the best, most seamless banking experience.”
Among the new features offered by the latest update of QNB Mobile Banking app are the Cash@Speed service, which allows customers to make instant cash advances and make interactive branch appointment bookings; the Mobile Cash service, which allows customers to send cash to any mobile number in Qatar to be withdrawn at any QNB ATM; and Augmented Reality using the camera of the mobile device, giving customers the ability to plan their route to an ATM or loyalty partner with Google Maps or Apple Maps.
The QNB Mobile Banking app is available on iPhones and Android smartphones, and with a distinguished landscape oriented version specialised to iPads and Android tablets (QNB Mobile for Tablets), as well as on innovative Tablet Kiosks in QNB branches in the English, Arabic, and French languages.
