His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani sent Friday a cable of condolences to New Zealand's Governor-General Patsy Reddy, expressing his strong condemnation and denunciation of the terrorist attack which took place at two mosques in Christchurch, New Zealand.
In the cable, the Amir stressed Qatar's firm stance on rejecting terrorism and extremism, regardless of motives and reasons.
He expressed condolences to the innocent victims, wishing a speedy recovery for the injured. 
His Highness the Deputy Amir Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad al-Thani also sent a cable of condolences to the Governor-General of New Zealand on the victims of the terrorist attack, wishing a speedy recovery for the injured.
HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani sent a similar cable to Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern.
Meanwhile, Qatar has condemned in the strongest terms the terrorist and brutal attack on mosques in New Zealand that has killed dozens of people.
In a statement yesterday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated Qatar's firm stance on rejecting violence and terrorism, regardless of motives and reasons.
The statement stressed the total refusal of Qatar to target places of worship and terrorise peaceful people.
The ministry also expressed Qatar's condolences to the victims' families and to the Government and the people of New Zealand and wished the wounded a speedy recovery.
