Chiyoda Almana in collaboration with Beaches and Islands Division - part of the Ministry of Municipality and Environment - conducted a beach cleaning campaign at Jemail, Fisherman’s Village, which is located north of Qatar at Zekreet.
The activity marked the company’s 11th foundation day with participation of more than 120 employees and their family members. The participants with the support from representatives of Ministry of Municipality and Environment removed more than 300 bags of rubbish and debris from approximately 2km of the extended coastline. The collected items included metal, plastic and solid waste.
Junji Nagasaka, managing director of Chiyoda Almana, conveyed the management message to the participants and commented: “We are very proud of our commitment to environmental friendly activities and the continuation of the Beach Cleaning activity for each of the last nine years. We intend to continue such activity and enhance our corporate social responsibilities as a leading local engineering company in Qatar.”
