Some 12 Belgian companies participated and presented their innovative technologies during a brief presentation during the seminar which was opened by Belgium ambassador Bart De Groo.
Major event companies based in Qatar and a member of Qatar Tourism Authority were present and had the occasion to network with the Belgian companies.
One-on-one meetings are planned over the two days of the trade mission visit to Doha as well as a visit to Supreme Committee.
In the first nine months of 2018, exports from Belgium to Qatar amounted to €259.2mn, the main export products being chemicals, machinery and equipment, and base metals.
Exports from Qatar to Belgium stood at €908.3mn, the main export products being mineral products, chemicals and plastics.

“The aim of this economic mission is to boost trade relations between Belgium and Qatar. Trade relations between Qatar and Belgium are seeing a continuous upward trend,” Embassy of Belgium said in a statement.
