Chevrolet vehicles “boast of excellent fuel efficiency features and can save drivers up to 16 hours a year - otherwise spent queuing up at petrol stations”, it has been pointed out.
“Did you know that an average motorist can spend up to 20 minutes of waiting time at a petrol station? Naturally, over the course of a year the minutes add up, resulting in a substantial amount of wait time. With its fuel efficient range of vehicles, Chevrolet is giving drivers and passengers their hours back - the equation is simple: strong fuel efficiency translates to a higher driving range with fewer stops at the petrol station, ultimately delivering extra time to spend as you please,” according to a press statement issued in Doha by Jaidah Automotive, the sole distributor of Chevrolet vehicles in Qatar.
Chevrolet’s 2019 lineup includes vehicles such as the Equinox, Traverse and Malibu, with each offering fuel efficiency that is among the best in their respective segment, the statement noted.
“In today’s fast-paced modern age, we are all pressed for time and even a few additional hours can go a long way in improving the quality of our lives. At Chevrolet, we build our vehicles with our customers’ needs in mind, and our technologies are designed to work in real-world settings, not just on a test bench. With their ultra-efficient engines, our current range of Chevrolet vehicles provide exceptional fuel economy, which not only save money, but also time. Time, which people can re-invest to do more of what they desire,” said Ahmed Soudodi, head of Brand, Chevrolet Middle East.
With innovative lightweight technology and a powerful 1.5L Turbo, the 2019 Chevrolet Equinox, for instance, delivers a fuel economy of 15km/L, which is among the best in its class, the statement explained. In essence, a full tank of fuel will take one further and can save up to six hours a year.
The new Chevrolet Malibu’s 1.5L turbocharged engine, on the other hand, can deliver up to 16.7km/L, saving up to eight hours a year, which would have otherwise been wasted waiting at a petrol station.
Chevrolet’s mid-size Traverse crossover is equally impressive when it comes to fuel efficiency. Among the most frugal in its class, the Traverse can return a fuel economy of 11.9km/L, which is highly impressive for a practical eight-seat vehicle of its size. This is achieved thanks to a nine-speed automatic transmission that works in tandem with several on-board fuel-saving technologies to give one back up to seven hours
a year.
