The first PSA Qatar Closed Satellite Squash Tournament will begin today at the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex.
The event will see the participation of five countries including Qatar, India, Egypt, Iraq, and Pakistan. Qatar’s national team is led by Qatar’s No. 2 Sayed Azlan Amjad who has received a (bye) in the first round.
This event is organised by the Qatar Tennis, Squash and Badminton Federation (QTSBF) in co-operation with the Professional Squash Association (PSA) and will conclude on February 24.
Tournament director Saad al-Mohannadi said, “This competition is the main vehicle in the development of young Qatari players as it provides them the best chance to play against leading international players.” He also expressed the hope that the Qatari players will achieve good results in the tournament.
