HE the Speaker of Advisory Council Ahmed bin Abdullah bin Zaid al-Mahmoud met separately with Chamber of Representatives of Uruguay President Jorge Gandini, Thai National Legislative Assembly President Pornpech Wichitcholchai, the Turkish Parliamentary Group president at the Inter-Parliamentary Union Dr Ravza Kavakci Kan, and Australian Senate President Dr Scott Ryan, on the sidelines of the two-day parliamentary hearing which began at UN Headquarters in New York on Friday.
During the meetings, they discussed the parliamentary relations between Qatar, Uruguay, Thailand, Turkey and Australia, in addition to ways of supporting and enhancing them. They also discussed the most important topics on the agenda of the parliamentary hearing. The meetings were attended by a number of members of the Advisory Council.
