Fifty One East, which is marking its 70th anniversary, has unveiled a collection of high-end jewellery, including bespoke, timeless pieces at this year’s Doha Jewellery and Watches Exhibition, which runs at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre until February 25.
Fifty One East is showcasing Boucheron, Rolex and Chanel in their dedicated wings along with a wide selection of premium brands within its pavilion.
The company has been a strong supporter and had major presence at the Doha Jewellery and Watches Exhibition since its inception, and this year is no exception.
Bader al-Darwish, chairman and managing director of Fifty One East, said, “This is a particularly special year for Fifty One East, as we celebrate 70 years of market presence, bringing light to the lives of our valued clientele through offering them an impeccable customer experience and the finest brands the world has to offer. Equally valued are the strong relationships we have with these brands, many of which are partnerships nurtured over decades.”
“As part of our commitment to bringing outstanding quality and choice, we continue to build our portfolio with many new brands also waiting to be discovered at this year’s Doha Jewellery and Watches Exhibition. Nothing can compare to experiencing these exquisite examples of craftsmanship in person,” he added.
In the show, jewellery connoisseurs will be enthralled by a number of world-class brands. Rolex is displaying their latest models from Baselworld 2018 focusing on GMT-Master II and the Deepsea. The GMT-Master II includes a brand-new Rolex movement, calibre 3285, a two-colour Cerachrom insert in red and blue ceramic and is available in Oystersteel on a Jubilee bracelet. They are also featuring the new Oyster Perpetual Rolex Deepsea in Oystersteel and equipped for the first time with caliber 3235, a movement at the forefront of watchmaking technology.
This year also, Boucheron is mesmerising the crowd with their innovative Nature Triomphante collection. To honour more than 160 years of creation and innovation, Boucheron has pursued a dream – to push the limits of High Jewellery by granting eternal life to the beauty and vitality of nature. This vision comes to light in the collection “Nature Triomphante”, in which cutting-edge scientific techniques combined with the ancestral expertise of the maison’s workshops usher High Jewellery into a bold new era of creativity.
Another highlight during the exhibition is the special themed wing in which Chanel Fine Jewellery presents a jewellery collection inspired by the poetic universe of the coromandel. The Coromandel collection is made up of fifty-nine pieces, twenty-four of them are entirely unique. These magical and virtuoso pieces offer an illustration of the incomparable savoir-faire of the Chanel Fine Jewellery workshop.
Moreover, Tudor is showcasing their latest watch models from Baselworld 2018, including the Black Bay Fifty?Eight which stole the lights last year. The model is named after the year in which the first Tudor divers’ 200 metres waterproof watch was introduced and dubbed the “Big Crown”. Tudor is also presenting the new Black Bay GMT sporting a distinctive, burgundy and blue bezel.
