Qatar Finance & Business Academy (QFBA) has delivered an information session on ‘Educational Advisory & Counselling’ for local students at Qatar National Library (QNL) as part of QFBA’s vision to transform Qatar into a knowledge-based economy.
The session offered insights into the upcoming and most popular career streams that students can foray into and the broad opportunities awaiting them. QFBA faculty also delved into the pros and cons of each stream to help students make wise decisions based on their preferences and career goals.
Khalifa al-Yafei, director of academic affairs and operations, QFBA, said, “We are pleased to associate with Qatar National Library in order to offer educational insights to the promising students who are going to be the effective leaders of tomorrow.
“We, as a leading institute of Qatar, have the responsibility to support the growth of Qatar in the best of our capabilities and offering such insightful lectures to these students helps us get one step closer to our mission of supporting the goals of Qatar National Vision 2030.”
Qatar National Library senior information services librarian Ahmed al-Malki said, “Making the right career move is an important first step for youth to excel in their future journeys. The library is making it easier for everyone in Qatar to make informed career decisions by providing them with a range of learning opportunities. As such, thanks to experts from Qatar Finance & Business Academy who shared useful instructions with students on how to best approach starting their careers.”
With such initiatives, QFBA further reiterates its commitment in taking the Qatari financial sector to the highest standards by empowering the local human capital with world-class education, thereby contributing towards the realisation of an important pillar in 2030 vision, the human development pillar.
