The Qatari participation in the Kuwait National Day celebrations has been launched at Sabah Al-Ahmad Heritage Village as part of the GCC folk heritage festival in Kuwait, continuing until March 2.
Qatar is taking part in the National Day celebrations of Kuwait as part of the close brotherly relations between the two countries through the Organising Committee of Qatar National Day Celebrations in co-operation with the Ministry of Culture and Sports. 
A good number of activities are being featured at the Qatari pavilion at the heritage village, reflecting the original Qatari folk heritage. The launch of the Qatari activities has been welcomed with a high public turnout, with a large numbers of visitors expressing appreciation for the featured events.
Nayif Mohamed al-Marri, director of the events department at the Qatar Cultural and Heritage Events Centre, said the Qatari participation in the Kuwait National Day celebrations stems from the strong and deep fraternal relations among the Kuwaiti and Qatari peoples and to further enhance this. He said the featured events include both cultural and heritage activities meant to engage the visitors and display the unity of the GCC people. 
Saif al-Shalahi, director of Sabah Al-Ahmad Heritage Village, described the Qatar pavilion as a distinguished and special one that reflects the good management of such events. He added that the Qatari participating includes a transit system for visitors to go around the 
village during the festival.
