Qatar is taking part in the National Day celebrations of Kuwait through the Organising Committee of Qatar National Day Celebrations in co-operation with the Ministry of Culture and Sports.
The committee will organise a number of sport and culture activities with special focus on the folk traditions of Qatar and the Gulf region to affirm the strong and deep relations between the two friendly countries and to further stress the unity of the GCC region.
The motto adopted by the committee is "Kuwait is… our Country Kuwait" to reflect Qataris love for Kuwait and their acknowledgement of the positive stand of Kuwait and its leadership and people towards Qatar in such special circumstances.
Many Qatari entities are taking part in the celebrations. The Qatari participation is scheduled at two places in Kuwait: Sabah Al-Ahmad Heritage Village as part of the GCC folk heritage festival from today (February 14) to March 2 and at Murouj area during February 21- 26. An operetta titled "Kuwait is… our Country Kuwait" will be staged on February 23 with the participation of Kuwaiti and Qatari students.
