Aspire Academy hosted the former President of Paraguay, Luis Federico Franco Gomez, when he and his wife toured the Academy yesterday. Gomez was welcomed by Aspire Academy Deputy Director General, Ali Salem Afifa, who went on to lead the tour.
Speaking after his visit, Gomez was full of praise for Aspire Academy and paid compliments to the nation of Qatar for the way it has gone about developing sport in the country. 
“Aspire is spectacular, and that’s not only the facilities l am talking about, but rather the whole concept and approach to youth sport development, from education to pastoral care to training. It is evident this has been planned and executed to the highest level, producing results like the recent victory in Asian Cup. That testifies to the amazing work being done at Aspire,” said Gomez. He added that he will be back in Qatar for the 2022 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar and hopes to watch Qatar play against Paraguay.
