Doha Marketing Services Company (Domasco), exclusive distributor of Volvo cars in Qatar, held the Volvo World Golf Challenge, Qatar Chapter, on January 18, at the Doha Golf Club.

With the participation of 92 talented golfers, the event was held in Qatar after five years, Domasco announced in a statement.

This year’s winner, Dean Lavy, sat atop the leaderboard with 42 points and will represent Qatar in the World Final to be held in South Africa from March 24-29, 2019.

With all expenses paid, an exciting programme awaits Lavy in Fancourt, South Africa’s premier leisure resort, venue for the tournament.

Coming in second was Thomas Aiden with 39 points on countback followed by Kenza Gilmour in third place with 39 points countback.

Among the other special prize winners of this year were Kenza Gilmour for longest drive (ladies), Uzma Mir for nearest to the pin (ladies), Thomas Aiden for longest drive (men) and Paul Kelly for nearest to the pin (men).

The event also showcased all the latest Volvo car models available in Qatar including the XC90, XC40, XC60 and S90.

The Volvo World Golf Programme dates back to 1988 with over 1.5mn customers and prospective clients having participated over the years in the Volvo Cup, Volvo Masters Amateur and now the Volvo World Golf Challenge.
