February 9 will be the last date for registration in Qur'an competition for school students, the Calls and Religious Guidance Department of the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs has announced. 
The department is continuing to receive applications for registration in the school competition for the current year which is in its 58th edition. The contest is witnessing an enthusiastic response. The number of participants has exceeded 33,000 students from all levels of study.
Director the Calls and Religious Guidance Department Malullah al-Jaber said that all preparations have been completed to launch the competition on February 17.
He pointed out that students can register until Saturday, adding that the number of those who have registered for the competition has so far reached 33,067 students, including 16,011 boys and 17,056 girls. 
The competition is held annually in co-operation with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, with the participation of students of all levels and ages.
Al-Jaber highlighted the role played by the competition in spreading the Qur'anic culture among school students.
