Vice-chairman of Qatar Chamber Mohammed bin Towar praised Wednesday the government's policies that aim to support the business sector and promote a wider participation from the private sector in sustainable development and in realising Qatar National Vision 2030.
Towar was speaking during a Qatar University seminar on entrepreneurship and said that the State of Qatar has opened up many fields to the private sector to achieve the goal of increasing its participation in sustainable economic development.
He noted that there was a clear commitment by the government to encourage the private sector, which plays a special role in helping the private sector participate very effectively in achieving the goals of Qatar National Vision 2030 and to contribute further to support the national economy.
The seminar focused on the important role the private sector can play in helping the State of Qatar achieve sustainable development.
Director of Planning and Quality at Ministry of Commerce and Industry Ali Khalid al-Khulaifi gave a presentation on the role of the private sector in economic development.
He explained the role of the government sector in enhancing the participation of the private sector in the national economy through providing logistical needs, and developing the legislative environment.
