Hamad Medical Corporation's (HMC) has signed a partnership agreement with Qatar Post, to provide a number of premium services to patients, including the delivery of medical reports.
The agreement was signed by HMC's Deputy Chief of Quality and Director of the Hamad Healthcare Quality Institute Nasser al-Naimi, and Chairman and Managing Director of Qatar Postal Services Faleh al-Nuaimi.
The collaboration will offer HMC patients the option to request a number of premium services, the first of which will see Qatar Post deliver medical reports to its patients' doorsteps, for a small fee. This cross-industry partnership will support HMC in simplifying the delivery of patient medical reports and will improve patient experience.
This service will be first launched at Hamad General Hospital, starting 10 February, and then rolled out across the HMC network.
The agreement will also see HMC work with Qatar Post on the possible future delivery of health cards and medical consumables, such as syringes, medical gloves, and IV fluids. Teams from the two organisations are working towards developing a robust process which will further enhance services offered to patients.
"This joint effort has been developed to support our patients, providing them with an opportunity to have their medical reports delivered to their home, anywhere in Qatar, instead of collecting them from the hospital. It will also improve access for patients who need medical care, by reducing the number of individuals visiting HMC hospitals," said Nasser al-Naimi.
"This service will be the first in a set of premium services that we plan to offer to our patients. These value-added services will bolster our patients' experience and support HMC in reaching its ambition of delivering the best care always, to all of our patients. Qatar Post has a strong reputation for safely and efficiently delivering goods across the nation. With this partnership, we are looking forward to providing real and lasting benefits to our patients," added Faleh al-Naimi.
He said that partnerships like this are a win-win situation for all stakeholders involved. The primary focus of Qatar Post is to provide services in a manner that works for its customers. Qatar Post has helped many organisations in the country to transform their level of customer service. We are always seeking new and innovative ways to enhance the delivery of our services and are excited about this partnership and the profound impact it will have on the experience of HMC's patients."
