The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI) has issued 85 licences for discounted prices, including 82 licences for discounts, one licence for festivals, and two licences for final liquidation, according to MoCI’s monthly report for January 2019.
MoCI also reported that a total of 395 licences were issued in January, including ‘swipe and win’, prize draws, special offers, and promotional offers. Similarly, 85 promotional offer licences were granted for companies selling goods in malls and retail shops, while 288 licences were granted for special offers, including new prices; buy one, get one for free; and buy one, get the second one for half the price.
The report also said two licences for ‘swipe and win’ were also awarded in January, while 20 licences for prize draws were issued.
