Hamad International Airport (HIA) has announced the opening of an outlet of the world renowned Swiss chocolatier Laderach in the terminal.
Chocolate lovers and connoisseurs travelling through HIA can indulge in a variety of high-quality handmade chocolate and confectionary specialties, at the 40sqm boutique.
Attendees at the inauguration of Laderach at the terminal included HIA’s Marketing and Corporate Communications vice-president Abdulaziz al-Mass, Laderach managing partner Mohamed Yousuf al-Jabir; and general manager, Taymour Mershad.
The chocolatier, already operating from two stores in Qatar, is offering traditional chocolate boxes along with promotional discounts and offers exclusively for HIA passengers.
Travellers can choose from a “diverse range of delectable offerings, including 47 flavours of praline chocolates, 25 types of fresh chocolates and nine kinds of ‘Choco Bijoux’”, HIA has said in a statement.
Al-Mass said, “We are thrilled to welcome Laderach to our portfolio of retail and F&B offerings at Hamad International Airport. The addition of Laderach brings another level of sophistication and diversity to our offerings, allowing passengers to experience a world-class standard of chocolate celebrated for its skilled craftsmanship, creativity and freshness.”

Laderach boutique at HIA.”

The Swiss chocolatier boasts of more than 60 locations worldwide, including both Frankfurt and Zurich airports, and is known for its fresh chocolates free from any artificial preservatives.
