Souq Waqif, in co-operation with the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, has started the preparations for the launch of the second honey market.
Registration will be open for companies wishing to participate in the exhibition.
The 2nd seasonal honey market at Souq Waqif, which will be held from 28 February to 7 March, aims to support national products, open new trade channels for traders, entrepreneurs, investors, and small and medium enterprises.
The organisers said that the Souq Waqif Honey Market will be the largest market for honey, as it will include all local, Arab and international honey varieties.
This will provide an opportunity for companies to showcase and promote their products with all varieties of honey, they added.
Qatar Airways is expected to offer a 25% discount on air cargo to encourage companies, and provide freight services from shipping to warehouses. It is also expected to offer free stores and hotels to participants, and secure free transfer from the airport to the hotel and vice-versa.
The invitation to local and international companies specialised in the production, supply, and distribution of honey, provides the opportunity for them to enter into agreements and partnerships that contribute to the opening of new markets and the promotion of mutual trade growth.
Also, the exhibition provides an opportunity for local investors to sell their products to foreign markets and to identify the potential and expertise of participating countries to benefit from them to develop the local product of honey and enhance its position in the foreign markets.
