Qatar Insurance Group recently held a blood donation campaign at the QIC headquarters in West Bay. 
The campaign was organised in collaboration with Hamad Medical Corporation’s (HMC) Blood Donation Unit. HMC mobilised its blood donation bus along with its medical unit to assist in the successful completion of the blood donation drive.
For QIC Group, the blood donation campaign “serves as an important corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative, which creates scalable impact for the society, environment and its people”, the company has said in a statement. 
“Like all other businesses, QIC Group considers CSR as a cornerstone for the sustainable development of the society and spares no effort to fulfil its CSR duties. By participating in various social initiatives and environmental engagements, QIC Group has been consistent in demonstrating its commitment towards its societal mission,” the statement noted.
Delighted by the excellent turnout of employees who volunteered and donated blood to support the cause, Abdulla al-Mulla, official spokesperson of QIC Group, thanked the staff for their participation and said: “It is indeed gratifying to see such support from our staff and I hope this would serve as a source of inspiration for others in the future. “At QIC, we have ensured that the core values of our business and operating principles align with the noble mission for the greater good. In fact, being socially conscious has allowed us to respond, engage and solve the common concerns of the society along with the co-operation of our customers, business partners and affiliates.”
Commenting on the initiative al-Mulla added: “The blood donation drive is an integral part of the framework of QIC Group’s corporate social responsibility and engagement towards the community. As a responsible corporate citizen, we will continue to participate in activities related to health, wellness, environment to demonstrate our unwavering commitment towards the community and the nation.”
